A Sustainability Plan for Hainan
We live and work on China’s only tropical holiday island. We chose the name “Organic Island” because it represents where we live. The pace of building is astonishing, but there is still plenty of nature here to be proud of.
Our friend Philip McMaster, of the World Sustainability Project, was in Sanya recently to present a sustainability plan to the local government. We caught up with him in Xiaodonghai, where he told us what got him started on his sustainability campain and what he has in mind for Hainan.
